Zhitomir Samaritan training and Life Skills center
Mission: to be a place of healing and training for the whole person: mental, emotional and spiritual.
Life Skills Center:
Clinical Psychologists, led by Vika Brzhezytska offer professional therapy, support groups, seminars and training on Assertiveness, Parenting Skills and a variety of mental health issues. Children, adolescents, adults and family are welcomed as clients. There is a charge per session, but free counseling is available for those who cannot pay.
Mental Health training is sponsored by Life Skills center yearly. US Mental Health experts led by Dr. Linda Schmidt provide training for Ukrainian psychologists, psychiatrist, and other professionals.
Coaching and Training for Coaches:
Alex has facilitated and promoted training for coaching by Dr. J. Val Hastings, Master Certified Coach and founder of the US based Coaching for Clergy. Dr. Hastings has offered training for coaching in Zhitomir for several years. Nadiya Siryk is pursuing certification and is continuing to train eight additional candidates.
Don Eisenhauer, who specializes in End of Life Coaching, brings his expertise in training pastors, doctors, and the general public.
Zhenia Makovskyi is offering coaching specializing in the area of addiction.
Samaritan Ministries’ Administrative Headquarters:
Alex Brzhezytskyy, National Director, meets with Sasha Gerasymchuk, SMU accountant, Michael Kozhuchar, administrative assistant and Irina Schmidt, receptionist/secretary in Zhitomir, where the ministry and business of SMU is conducted.
Projected outreach ministries include an annual kids’ camp, youth activities, veterans’ support groups and other ministries as needs arise and resources are provided.
The center is also a gathering and lodging place for guests and mission teams.
